Earnings Interruptions
Interrupted earnings gets reported to the government.
If there is an interruption in earnings of more than 7 days, a record of employment (ROE) must be filed.
If you have had or are anticipating to have seven consecutive calendar days with no work and no earnings, an interruption of earnings has occured. This is called the 7-day rule. If your salary falls below 60% of your regular earnings because of illness, injury or another job protected leave of absence, then a record od employment will be issued for you within 5 days of the interuption.
